Position: Operations Manager (Full Time, Permanent)Location: Viking Hotel WaterfordThe Viking Hotel Waterford are currently recruiting for a Hotel Operations Manager to join our wonderful team.Our HotelThe Viking Hotel is located 4km from Waterford city centre and just 7km from the M9 motorway. The hotel offers a perfect base for both business and leisure guests. We offer 98 rooms in total which are tastefully designed with the comfort of home in mind. We have double rooms, executive rooms, twin rooms, triple and family rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, crisp white linens, flat screen TV's and en-suite bathrooms to name just a few of the features. The Wooden Pestle Bar & Restaurant recently underwent a makeover and has a great atmosphere which is enjoyed by residents and locals alike with live music on Saturday nights. As Operations Manager you will work with the entire Management Team to develop and maintain a strong team who can work together to deliver excellent customer service at all times. A passion for mentoring and developing others is a must. You will be responsible for overseeing and leading day to day operations within all departments including the Restaurant and Bar.Duties and responsibilities for this role will include:To assist the General Manager in the everyday running of the property as a profit driven, customer focused, team oriented business.To be responsible for the day to day operation of the Viking Hotel in the absence of the General Manager.To carry out reasonable requests made by managementTo attend financial reviews at the request of the senior management team.Participating in the recruitment and selection of new employeesTo promote the Viking Hotel service standards throughout the property, ensuring that all guests receive excellent service at all times.Leading by example and taking responsibility for day to day operational decisionsShowing awareness of the daily business of the property and communicating details of this business to each department.The successful candidate must have previous food & beverage experience along with managing and running shifts within the hotel environment You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to direct the team in their day to day duties.The ideal candidate for this position:Must have previous hotel supervisor or management experiencePrevious Food & Beverage experience is essential Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of serviceMust be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the hospitality industryMust possess excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommunicate fluently in English (written & oral). Why Work With Us? We are a team of talented professionals who work well together and we are a fun team to work with.
