What Do We WantYour primary day to day function is to manage warehouse activities across site.You will be able to provide up to date information and communicate to the highest level internally and externally, whilst ensuring that all service levels are met and where possible exceeded.You will manage and drive productivity and accuracy to maximise all resources whilst ensuring adherence to customer service levels and targets.You will lead by example, you will actively promote and foster a culture where health & safety, hygiene, quality and customer service are of the highest priorityYou will need to be experienced in the FMCG businessYou also need to have the ability to absorb and disseminate information clearly.We would like you to be flexible and able to carry out any ad-hoc duties that may be required in your role. You should have the ability to work well under pressure and be able to work at a consistent pace.You will be a people person, and a good communicator both verbally and writtenYou will be very organised in your approach and you will be an analytical thinker. You will have a “can do” attitude.What Your Day to Day Looks LikeMeasuring and reporting the effectiveness of the department activities.Communication of Key metrics.Analysis of operation and staff.The completion of daily operational audits.Ensures all operational functions and process are completed in accordance with company policy and statutory legislation.Drive development & mobilisation of standardised training and skills improvement within the Supply Chain.Manage, daily Warehouse and Transport operations ensuring all staff are operating to the required standards and rates.Recommending measures to improve quality of service, increasing efficiency of department and team members and equipment performance.Compliance with health & safety and the reduction in loss time accidentsControl and management of absence within contractual levels People development incorporating the completion of reviews Budgetary responsibility with scope of functional accountability warehouse labour and associated productivity targetsMaximize warehouse utilization and associated operational spaceWhat Skills Do I need For This RoleHard working & flexibleStrong IT skillsHigh levels of attention to detailEnthusiastic & energeticFast learnerCalm under pressureAt least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar roleOverall Knowledge of Supply Chain with associated Qualification.
