Operations Electrician

About the Role:EPS has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic and experienced Electrician. The position will be based in the Cork area. The ideal candidate would be a qualified electrician with 3 – 5 years proven experience in the industrial, water & wastewater sector advantageous, focused on preventative and reactive maintenance within our Operations Division.Key Responsibilities:The role will primarily involve preventative and reactive work in the water and wastewater industryCalibration and servicing of on-site instrumentation monitoring equipment (such as PH, dissolved oxygen probes etc)Motor and instrumentation signal verification to motor control centres and PLC including control function verificationAbility to follow control panel schematics and trouble shoot control panel faultsInstall, wire, commission and set up configuration of full range of variable speed drives, DOL, star delta starters, etcLiaise with Area Supervisors and Managers on electrical solutions and site implementation of sameCompletion of daily reports and health and safety documentation as required for day to day works on sitesKey Competencies and Skills:A minimum of 3 – 5 year’s experience Instrumentation experience with water monitoring equipment advantageousTechnical knowledge of 3 phase motors, pumps, dosing pumps and associated instrumentation Fault findingWorking with pumps, motors, dosing equipment (including pumps & controllers), control panels and instrumentsFamiliarity with PLC’s, automation and telemetry would also be an advantageProven ability to service, maintain & fault find electrical issues including verification of signals back to PLC for inputs and outputs as required for plant control functionsGood computer skillsQualificationsElectrical Engineering/Instrumentation Registration with Safe Electric as a QC would be an advantageFull clean driving license Compensation Package:Competitive salary and benefits packageRobust graduate programmeOpportunities for professional development and career growthCPD accredited employerA collaborative and supportive work environmentLaptop or desktop and work mobile phone providedFlexible working options, dependent on location and role requirementsSee company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS Group We welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.
