ABP Food Group is a food business that specialises in the supply and development, producing award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale. ABP Langport is part of the ABP UK division within the ABP Food Group aiming to provide quality beef to thousands of customers across the world.Here at ABP Langport, located in Southwest Somerset (TA10 9HG), we are currently recruiting for the ideal candidate to join our Night Hygiene Team as a Night Hygiene Manager.Transport required due to our rural location. Please check your travel options before applying. Role definition:To maintain effective hygiene controls throughout the site to the required standards.To effectively manage and complete all aspects relating to cleaning and hygiene.Maintain effective communications between the Technical Manager and night cleaning operatives.To manage staff effectively and safely.Main Duties and Responsibilities:To ensure that all plant and equipment is cleaned in accordance with planned schedules.To ensure all staff are fully trained in chemical use and cleaning operations.To ensure manning levels are sufficient to meet the needs of the business within commercial restraints.To manage holiday requests and provide cover, as well as absence management.To visually inspect all areas of the site post clean down to ensure cleanliness.To ensure cleaning is carried out in accordance with operating procedures.To ensure effective management and control of resources e.g. Chemicals, (including titration checks, ordering and usage), equipment and water usage.To ensure that all plant and equipment is isolated and to report any faults in a timely manner.To ensure that performance targets are achieved and that any training needs are addressed, liaising with relevant department heads.Any other reasonable requests from management. Knowledge and Experience: Previous management experience is essential.Knowledge of chemical use in this area is essential.Previous cleaning experience, however, this is not essential. Schedule:Night ShiftMonday to Friday6pm to 4am with flexibility to meet the needs of the business. Reporting to: Technical ManagerRate: Salary depending on experience Benefits: No bank holidays (expect early hours of the morning)Permanent RolesFree meal with every shiftCycle to Work SchemePensionEmployee of the Month Reward SchemeSummer and Christmas PartiesOn site Occupation Health NurseAdditional Employee Incentive, Welfare Support The ABP Values Trust & Respect: We take care of each other by creating an inclusive working environment.
