The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Multiskilled Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team, this role will be based in our Thirsk manufacturing plant.On Offer:£22.65 per hour (Including Shift Allowance) (£50,880 per annum)43.2 hours per week (24/7 Dupont shift pattern) Days and Nights 12 hour shiftsHourly rate with overtime - Paid monthlyOur shift model explained:The Dupont schedule follows a four-week cycle. Colleagues switch between day and night shifts, (6am to 6pm / 6pm to 6am) often within the same week, and will work for three or four consecutive days at a time. Colleague workdays are interspersed with one to three consecutive days off. Additionally, colleagues receives one block of seven days off during the four-week period.Please note there is not public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!The CompanyIPN is an innovative, well-established, and award-winning pet food manufacturer, employing over 850 people across our 4 UK manufacturing sites. Our kitchens in Thirsk, Kinmel and Crick produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.The Role of Maintenance EngineerTo establish and maintain safe, compliant and effective engineering operations that continually develop the site’s asset base by following the Engineering strategy for proactive work whilst responding to breakdowns. Key Responsibilities :Perform planned and predictive maintenance of equipment and complete ad hoc repairs in a timely manner and by prioritising works in line with site priorities to ensure that efficient production is maintainedAssessing the need for spares by ensuring that the critical spares and spares list is up to date and stock is at the required levels and resolve any issues in a timely manner.Ensuring a safe environment by conducting all servicing and maintenance activities with minimal risk to employees, products and equipment.
