Mechanical Fitter

We are urgently hiring a Mechanical Fitter for a leading engineering business specialising in high-performance pump systems. This role offers hands-on involvement in the full lifecycle of pump assembly, from new builds to service and repair, across both Original Equipment and aftermarket projects.Key Responsibilities:Precision assembly and refurbishment of complex pump systemsQuality inspections, documentation, and self-verification of workTesting support including hydrostatic, vibration and noise checksRotation across build areas for skill development and knowledge sharingOccasional on-site service work as a technical representativeSupporting lean improvements and process efficiency initiativesWhat We’re Looking For:Completed mechanical apprenticeship or time-served with 3+ years' experienceStrong mechanical fitting skills in heavy or precision manufacturingAbility to read technical drawings and follow detailed work instructionsFamiliarity with lean principles and continuous improvement mindsetBenefits:Competitive salary with potential for 4-day work weeksAnnual bonus scheme33 days holiday including bank holidays, plus holiday buy/sell optionsPension and life coverDigital benefits platform and Employee Assistance ProgrammeOngoing technical training and developmentYou must have the right to work in the UK.
