Carr Golf, headquartered in Park West Business Park, Dublin 12 is certified A Great Place to Work and roles with us are exciting, challenging and customer-focused. We are currently recruiting for a Qualified Mechanic based at Elmgreen Golf Club, Dunsink, Dublin 15.This is a full-time role based on 39 hours per week.Role PurposeReporting to the Head of Plant and Machinery Maintenance, we are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and professional individual to join our expanding team, which is committed to consistently delivering service excellence. You will be required to use your initiative and judgment daily. The role will include preventative maintenance, servicing and repair to an extensive fleet of golf course maintenance equipment. This role will require both onsite and offsite maintenance.Key DeliverablesInspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment, including, diesel, electric- and gasoline-powered automobiles, mowers, tractors, rollers and other mechanical equipment used in utility workInstructs and/or trains golf course maintenance workers regarding preventive maintenance, and the proper cleaning of and safe operation of equipmentKeeps records for equipment and parts inventory purchases and completed worksCompletes regular servicing of all equipment and sharpening of mowing equipmentComplies with all legislation and regulations including provisions contained in the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005Role Specific SkillsKeen attention to detail with the ability to produce a high standard of workKeep detailed maintenance recordsKnowledge of electrical, electronic and hydraulic systemSoft Skills & CompetenciesTeam player: Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiativeCommunication: Adept at communicating with colleagues and clientsPunctual & Reliable: Excellent timekeeping and reliabilityProblem Solving: Has the critical thinking skills to analyse problems thoroughly and accurately; takes a structured approach to identifying appropriate solutionsExperience RequiredQualified MechanicElectro-hydraulic experience is an advantagePrevious experience in a similar role dealing with golf course equipment, agricultural equipment or plantHold a full driving licenseKnowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelDesirable but not essentialBe proficient using operating reel and bed knife grindersWelding/fabrication experiencePractical experience in greenkeeping and/or working with golf course equipmentHolds a trailer licenseBenefits20 Days Annual Leave1 Additional Annual Leave day for your BirthdayAdditional Annual Leave with Length of ServiceGolf Membership at either Elmgreen or Corballis Golf ClubDiscounts in Pro ShopCar Parking On-SiteSocial ClubChristmas VouchersAnnual Salary ReviewCycle to Work Scheme
