Management Accountant

The Management Accountant is responsible for delivering high-quality financial management information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control across the business. This role plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and providing financial insight to senior stakeholders.JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSISPrepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysisProduce insightful financial commentary explaining performance, trends, and key driversAnalyse profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow performanceDevelop financial models and scenario analysis to support decision-makingProvide ad-hoc financial analysis to senior management as requiredProvide assistance to finance team members in their roles when requiredBUDGETING & FORECASTINGAssist in the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processesWork with budget holders to challenge assumptions and improve forecast accuracyTrack performance against budget and forecast, identifying risks and opportunitiesSupport strategic planning through financial input and modellingCOST CONTROL & EFFICIENCYMonitor cost performance and investigate variances against budget and prior periodsIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency improvementsSupport cost allocation, margin analysis, and profitability reviewsDevelop KPIs to track cost efficiency and financial performancePartner with operational teams to embed cost-conscious decision-makingCOMPLIANCE & GOVERNANCEEnsure compliance with accounting standards, legislation, internal controls, and company policiesMaintain balance sheet integrity through regular reviews and reconciliationsSupport statutory accounts preparation and external audit processesEnsure financial reporting deadlines and governance requirements are metIdentify and manage financial risks, escalating issues where appropriateSYSTEMS & PROCESS IMPROVEMENTDrive continuous improvement in financial reporting, planning, and control processesImprove efficiency through automation, standardisation, and system enhancementsSupport implementation of new systems, tools, and reporting solutionsWho we are looking for Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)Experience in management accounting or financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Experience working with senior management and cross-functional teamsStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial controlDesirable Knowledge of financial modelling and data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)Line management experienceWhy Choose Connected HealthThis role offers hybrid working based on the company’s current hybrid working arrangement.Salary depending on experienceLearning and development opportunities to support your career28 days annual leave including bank holidaysABOUT USAt Connected Health, we don't just offer a job – we offer careers that are at the forefront of transforming the way homecare is delivered across Northern Ireland.
