Maintenance Operative

We have the opportunity for a Maintenance Operative to join our Maintenance team here in the award winning 4* Brehon Hotel & Spa Killarney.Objective of the Role - To ensure that the property and premises are maintained to a high standard and to ensure safe working practices at all times within the hotel.Duties To pro-actively manage daily work-load by using Snapfix, ensuring effective use of available resources including painting, decorating, gardeningCarrying out of maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance routines as per the departmental requirements in tiling, plumbing, carpentry.Carry out regular inspections of the hotel to identify maintenance requirementsTo ensure all maintenance procedures are kept up to dateTo ensure repairs are carried out on a timely mannerTo assist plumbers and electricians in rectifying defects or malfunctions in the hotel systems.Assist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services.To interact with all departments of the hotel.Manage and coordinate the delivery of all Maintenance Management support services.Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and safety standards possibleEnsure that all maintenance activities and procedures adhere to applicable Health and Safety legislation, policies and best practice guidelines.Participate in all training provided.Please note the list above is not an exhaustive list and your role will be flexible and will vary accordingly as dictated by the needs of the business and the requirements of the individual customers.The candidate should have the following:• Proven experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.• Strong general maintenance skills.• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.• Familiarity with Snapfix or similar maintenance management software is desirable (training can be provided).• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Reasons to apply:A welcoming and supportive team environmentOpportunities for Professional Development & GrowthHot meals provided on dutyEmployee of the Month awardsCompany eventsFree ParkingEAP ProgrammeCompetitive rates of pay Please note, we are only accepting applications from persons who have the permission/ right to live and work without restriction in Ireland.
