Logistics Co-ordinator

ABP Bridge of Allan is currently looking for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join our team.Role Definition:To ensure the efficient and timely coordination of inbound and outbound logistics operations within the meat processing facility, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and optimizing transport and inventory processes.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate daily transportation schedules for raw materials and finished goods.Liaise with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries and despatches.Book Chep pallets and organising delivery/collection of palletsOrganise delivery and collection of OSI and Languth binsMonitor inventory levels and support stock control processes.Maintain accurate records of shipments, deliveries, and returns.Ensure compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and cold chain regulations.Resolve logistical issues and escalate delays or discrepancies.Support audits and inspections by providing relevant documentation.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in logistics and supply chain efficiency.Organising and sorting out all paperwork for exportArranging vet to come on site to complete export paperworkAdhere to current legislation and company procedures with regards to safe food production and handling · Understand the company policy for Personal Hygiene Ensure working to ABP ValuesPersonal SpecificationEssential CriteriaProven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in FMCG sectors.Strong understanding of supply chain processes and cold chain logistics.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Knowledge of food safety standards and transport regulations.Desirable CriteriaExperience in a meat processing or chilled goods environment.Familiarity with customs and export documentation (if applicable).Personal AttributesDetail-oriented and proactive.Team player with a collaborative approach.Problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.Flexible and adaptable to changing operational needs.
