Lead Electrical Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer who is looking to be a part of key projects, with a dynamic and progressive engineering company?Rockwell is set for significant growth over the next four years and with new projects coming on stream, we are seeking a lead electrical engineer for a staff role to be based out of our head office in Cork on a full-time basis.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the electrical design function, ensuring efficient and high-quality project delivery.Communicate directly with clients, vendors, and site personnel to clarify queries and ensure project alignment.Manage the creation and review of electrical design packages, cable sizing, single line drawings, support distribution board design, containment routes, lighting design, load studies etc ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Approve electrical installations based on local and client regulations and standards.Collaborate closely with engineering and commercial departments to align on project objectives and resolve any issues.Handle document control, ensuring accurate and timely transmission of technical and contract documents.Monitor project progress, update schedules, and prepare regular progress reports. Essential Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Experience:A minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.At least 5 years of experience in an electrical engineering role is required.Competency in electrical design software is required.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.Experience in heavily regulated industries would be advantageousAn electrical trade background is advantageous.Experience in Revit would be advantageous.Why join Rockwell?We provide a competitive salary that reflects your experience and qualifications.
