The Hodson Bay Hotel are currently recruiting for Kitchen Porters and Washup Assistants to join our great team within the Kitchen department.The Hodson Bay Hotel is part of the Hodson Bay Group. With over 700 employees from over 50 countries worldwide, Hodson Bay Group is committed to creating a positive working environment where our people feel they are a valued part of a team delivering excellent service to our guests.Hodson Bay Hotel has been recently certified as a Great Place to Work®, and we have also received the 'Excellent Employer 2024' Award from Failte Ireland Employer Excellence.The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Cleaner/Kitchen Porter in a Hotel environment.Responsibilities:• Cleaning and Sanitization: Ensure all kitchen areas, work surfaces, floors, and equipment meet hotel standards for cleanliness and sanitation. This includes meal preparation areas, walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills.• Dishwashing: Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashing machines. Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitization before reuse.• Assisting with Food Preparation: Aid kitchen staff by peeling, chopping, and preparing basic food items like vegetables and salads.• Waste Management: Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including recycling where applicable. Keep waste disposal areas clean and organized.• Regularly clean kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, mixers, and cookers.
