Junior IT Support Technician

The Role.GMC Utilities Group are currently seeking a Junior IT Support Technician to join our internal IT teamWorking in a team of 3, this role offers an exciting opportunity to support and grow within a dynamic and fast-paced IT environment. You will provide level 1 & 2 support across hardware, software, and networking systems throughout our Dublin head offices and regional locations across Ireland. Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Key Responsibilities:·        Triage and resolve IT service requests via our ticketing system.·        Provide on-site and remote support across a range of IT hardware and software.·        Support daily operations involving laptops, desktops, mobile devices, IP phones, and printers.·        Assist in monitoring IT systems and applying patches and updates via our vulnerability management tools.·        Participate in IT infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.·        Maintain asset records and ensure systems are secure and up to date. The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies:·        Strong interest in IT with a minimum of 1 year’s experience in an IT Support role. ·        Understanding of Windows OS, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, and networking equipment.·        Experience with or knowledge of: Active Directory, Office 365 admin, VMware, and Windows Server (advantageous).·        Ability to work independently and resolve issues across varying user competency levels.·        Must hold a full driving license and have access to transport for regional site visits. Become a part of something bigger.
