Connections include conventional natural gas transmission sites as well as renewable energy fuels such as Bio-methane and Hydrogen. End customers range from Citygate distribution networks and Technology Parks to Power Generation. We use leading-edge design and modelling tools from global technology companies to deliver innovative designs for our customers.We are currently seeking graduate/junior Instrument and Electrical Design Engineers, with a degree/background in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering to join our expanding teams in Cork.If you’re interested in taking the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities/ DutiesWorking within Gas T&D team to deliver a renewable Irish and UK energy transmission network.Producing Gas Transmission AGI Designs including, Electrical Layouts, LV Distribution Design, Control & Instrumentation Design, Earth Grid Design and General Services Design.Reviewing project requirements and generating required deliverables under the direction of Senior Engineers.Producing specifications for various electrical equipment and assemblies (transformers, RTUs, Gas Analysis equipment and instrumentation, etc.)Carrying out Power Systems Electrical Studies, including Load Estimates, Protection Coordination and Cable Sizing Calcs,Preparing coordinated drawings covering all aspects of installations, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and structural elements.Desiging & Commissioning of SCADA and control systems in the field: I/O and instrumentation testing, full testing and commissioning.Skills/ Knowledge/ ExperienceLevel 7 Degree in Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Experience in developing Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD, EPLAN or similar.Experience in developing equipment layouts using AutoCAD, or similar.Experience in LV Systems Study software such as Amtech, or similar an advantage but not essential.Full EU Driving Licence and own transport for site survey works.0-2 years’ experience in a similar instrument/electrical design role an advantage but not essential.CharacteristicsWorks well as part of a team.Problem solving and diagnostic skills.Capable of self-learning and completion of individual tasks.Adaptable and able to prioritise and coordinate work.Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Package/ BenefitsCompetitive starting salary with year-on-year bonuses and salary increasesPaid OvertimeHealth InsuranceIncome ProtectionLife AssurancePRSA pension with employer contributionRemote Working/ Flexi-time/ Compressed Working WeekPersonalised Career Development PlanRegular performance and remuneration reviewsCycle to work scheme Don’t miss this opportunity to join a company at the forefront of energy engineering projects in Ireland, the UK and Europe.
