IT Security Engineer

The Mater Private Network is seeking a highly motivated IT Security Engineer to join our Cyber Security Department.  Purpose of role:The successful candidate will join a dedicated cyber security team and will contribute to managing and improving the organisations cyber security posture through technology implementation and security validation of systems & architecture. This is a varied role with exposure to a broad range of technologies and systems, so we are looking for an adaptable person with a strong foundation of IT skills and some experience in (or at least a passion for) cyber security.Required5+ years’ experience in relevant hands-on security or IT positions (ideally Infrastructure or System Administration)Good technical knowledge of Enterprise IT environments, Microsoft Entra, M365.Good working knowledge of Networking Clear understanding of secure design architecture and principles.Ability to carry out technical security assessments.Analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsGood all-around security mindset with a can-do attitude DesirableExperience with security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO27001) desirable.Relevant industry certifications, although experience >certificationExperience leveraging scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation Job Descriptions available on request.THE MATER PRIVATE HOSPITAL IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES EMPLOYER
