Job TitleIT Operations - Programme ExecutiveSalary€50,501 pa (Other arrangements may apply if coming from another civil or public service body)Tenure5-year fixed term contractWork LocationDublinClosing DateMidnight, Monday 14th October 2024Role ProfileWe have an exciting opportunity in the IT Business Operations Team within the IT Department which is part of the Corporate Services Directorate.  The IT Department provides support across all aspects of SEAI operations, with teams focussed on four areas: IT Project and Business System Programmes (PMO), Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, and IT Operations including IT helpdesk, IT Change Management and Cyber Security. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the IT Operations Manager with day-to-day operational IT tasks. The position will operate within an Enterprise class IT environment spanning across 4 locations in Ireland and will play a key role in the IT Department.  The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI’s day-to-day IT Business Operational Services.Essential CriteriaThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:A qualification at Level 8 on the NFQ (i.e. honours degree or higher) or equivalent in either Computer Systems/Networking or related area and a minimum of 3 years’ directly relevant experience working in an end-to-end IT function.OR A qualification at Level 7 on the NFQ (i.e. ordinary degree) or equivalent in either Computer Systems/Networking or related area and a minimum of 5 years’ directly relevant experience working in an end-to-end IT function.ORA qualification at Level 6 on the NFQ (i.e. third level certificate) or equivalent in either Computer Systems/Networking or a related area and a minimum of 8 years’ directly relevant experience working in an end-to-end IT function.Good working knowledge of operating systems (including Microsoft Windows operating systems, desktop and mobile). Good understanding of IT networks and systems in a medium to large organisation.Strong project management and organisational skills.Desirable CriteriaRelevant industry-based certifications and/or knowledge of in any of the following areas: Cisco CCNA/CCDAITIL V4 CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent)CompTIA Tech+ (or equivalent)PRINCE2 (Foundation)VEEAM Familiarity with MS PowerApps & PowerAutomat.Experience in writing user guides. Technical specifications for hardwareEligibility to WorkThe SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland.
