Job Title:IT Operations ManagerSalary:Tenure:5-year fixed term contractWork Location:DublinClosing Date:Monday 22nd April 2024Role Profile: We have an exciting opportunity in the SEAI IT Programme Management Team within the IT Department which is part of the Corporate Services Directorate. The IT Department provides support across all aspects of SEAI operations, with teams focussed on four areas: IT Project and Business System Programmes (PMO), Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, and IT Operations including IT helpdesk, IT Change Management and Cyber Security.Reporting to the Acting Chief Information Officer (CIO), the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day IT operations including IT helpdesk, Cybersecurity and IT Change Management. In addition, the IT Operations Manager will also be responsible for ensuring IT contracts are completed in line with public procurement and delivered in line with SLA’s etc.The role will operate within an Enterprise class IT environment spanning across 4 locations in Ireland. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and innovative team who are committed to the high-quality delivery of SEAI’s services. Essential Requirements:The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate: A third-level degree in information technology or related experience.A minimum of five years’ work experience in an Operations role. Management of the operation and improvement of hardware components such as the networks, systems, and mobile systems.Current knowledge of technology such as Windows, Networks and cloud computing. Experience working within a team and dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.Desirable Requirements:Ability to communicate IT concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Previous exposure to change management responsibilities within the IT environment.Ability to manage multiple projects.Outstanding communication skillsProblem-solving aptitude.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).Previous experience preparing and staying within budget.Previous experience of procurement. Eligibility to Work: Requirements The SEAI has a legal obligation to ensure that all employees are lawfully entitled to work in Ireland. To qualify, candidates must hold a valid visa on the date of application and where applicable to support a candidate’s application, candidates must submit a valid work permit/visa confirming permission to work in Ireland when requested.
