Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) Internship

Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) is a commercial semi-state body whose mission is to develop and promote Ireland as a world centre of excellence for horse racing and breeding. Our people and their passion for what they do is at the heart of our core values.In 2024 we are running an internship programme. Through this programme we want to give students an opportunity to develop their skills while getting to learn more about the horseracing industry. As part of this programme students will have the opportunity to experience major racing festivals from the inside.We are currently offering an internship in Irish Thoroughbred Marketing.The successful candidate will work with a small team in Irish Thoroughbred Marketing.Key Responsibilities:·        Work with ITM team to carry out administrative duties.·        Review, monitor and post on ITM social media·        Prepare graphics and reels for ITM social media·        Monitor and record notable Irish-bred winners·        Assist with the preparation of email marketing·        Conduct market and competitor research·        Work as part of the ITM team at sales Skills and Experience:•        Be undertaking a relevant third level course•        Have an interest in the horse racing industry•        Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications•        The ability to provide excellent customer service•        Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment•        Ability to prioritise tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage change•        As racing is a seven-day business, flexibility in relation to working hours is requiredClosing date for application is 9th February 2024.Horse Racing Ireland is an equal opportunities employer with a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and equality at all levels of the organisation.
