This is your chance to expand your skills and work on high-voltage systems ranging from 10kV to 220kVJob Description:This opportunity is open exclusively to Electricians within Suir Engineering who are looking to advance their careers in MV/HV cable jointing. You will receive comprehensive training and mentorship to enable you to undertake the preparation, jointing, termination, and testing of cables in this specialized field. Upon joining the MV/HV jointing team, you will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical power systems.Key Responsibilities:Undertake cable jointing and terminations on MV and HV power cables (10kV to 220kV, including XLPE, PILC, and EPR).Participate in cable fault-finding, testing, and repair activities.Work on underground and overhead systems as required.Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and cable plans.Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality work on time.Maintain strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.Embrace training opportunities to develop and refine jointing expertise.Requirements:Current employment as an electrician with Suir Engineering.A strong desire to specialize in MV/HV jointing and develop new technical skills.Familiarity with electrical systems and safety standards.Ability to work in diverse environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions.Willingness to undertake training and certification for MV/HV jointing.Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.What We Offer:Comprehensive training and development program to support your transition to MV/HV jointing.Opportunities to work on challenging and rewarding projects up to 220kV.Competitive package with opportunities for overtime.A collaborative and supportive team environment.A clear pathway for career progression within Suir Engineering.Types of projects that you will be working on: 110KV & 220KV SubstationsBattery Storage (BESS)Solar FarmsWind FarmsGas Turbine GenerationSynchronised CondensersStatcoms
