Overall purpose The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in delivering the people strategy and supporting business objectives within the Cape Town office. Operating with autonomy and discretion, the HRBP manages the full employee lifecycle and serves as the primary HR contact. The role requires strategic thinking, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions and drive performance. Working closely with the Head of HR, the HRBP ensures compliance, fosters engagement, and implements initiatives that enhance employee experience and align with organisational goals. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, building trusted relationships. Deliver HR processes and initiatives that align with the business strategy and people plan. Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and contract management in compliance with South African labour laws. Administer HR systems, maintain accurate records, and generate reports for internal and external stakeholders. Champion employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture. Manage employee relations, including grievances and disciplinary actions, with discretion and fairness. Ensure compliance with Employment Equity, Skills Development, UIF, and OHS regulations. Implement people-related projects that support strategic objectives and continuous improvement. Apply commercial awareness and financial acumen to HR operations, ensuring cost-effective practices. Prioritise tasks effectively, adapt to changing demands, and maintain high standards of delivery.
