HR Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated HR Administrator to join our team and support the People Transformation Manager in various human resources functions within our Down Syndrome Ireland. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about our mission. This role involves assisting with engagement initiatives, responding to general HR queries, ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting the recruitment processes, facilitating onboarding process and supporting with addressing HR/IR issues. At Down Syndrome Ireland, we 25 nationwide branches that support our members and their families. Our Team of almost 100 passionate individuals is supported by thousands of volunteers who strive to improve the lives of People with Down Syndrome in Ireland by providing a range of vital services and social opportunities. We are continuing to grow and we need someone who is dedicated and ambitious to join our HR team to support this growth and our members.Key Responsibilities:Engagement Support:Collaborate with the People Transformation Manager to develop and implement engagement strategies aimed at fostering a positive work culture.Assist in organizing employee events, recognition programs, and other initiatives to enhance employee morale and satisfaction.Compliance:Stay up-to-date with relevant employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.Support the Manager in ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies regarding employment practices such as time & attendance, statutory leave entitlements and file management.Recruitment:Assist in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.Coordinate with hiring managers to facilitate a smooth recruitment experience for both candidates and hiring branches.Onboarding:Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing new hire paperwork, facilitating induction, and ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.Serve as a point of contact for new employees, addressing any questions or concerns during the onboarding process.Industrial Relations/Employee Relations (IR/ER) Support:Assist in managing employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinaries and grievances.Support the Manager in fostering positive relationships between employees and management, promoting a harmonious work environment.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Previous experience in a human resources or administrative role.Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when necessary.Full clean drivers' license with own transport is beneficial Location & Hours:This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, based in our National Office, Ballymount Dublin 12.
