High Voltage Electrical Engineer – Asset Management

We support customers across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering tailored engineering services that drive long-term success. NeoDyne is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Engineer to act as the asset management representative for the HV electrical systems associated with the new compressor installations to support one of our key national critical infrastructure customers on a contract basis. The successful candidate will support the project during the design, procurement and planning phases, ensuring that asset lifecycle, reliability and operational requirements are embedded within the engineering design and vendor packages. The role will involve collaboration with project delivery teams, equipment vendors and construction contractors to ensure that high-voltage assets are designed, specified and delivered in line with long-term operational requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the asset management representative for high-voltage electrical systems associated with Electric Motor Driven Compressor (EMD) installations.Participate in design reviews, technical risk assessments and engineering workshops during project development.Define asset lifecycle requirements for new HV equipment including maintenance strategies, reliability targets and spare parts philosophies.Develop Functional Specifications & Requirements (FSR) for HV assets and associated electrical systems.Support the procurement process including preparation of technical specifications, tender evaluations and vendor clarification meetings.Review vendor engineering deliverables for HV switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives (VSD), large motor systems and protection and control systems.Provide technical oversight and coordination with equipment vendors and construction contractors during design development.Ensure new assets align with ISO55001 asset management principles and long-term operational requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement and project delivery.  Required Experience & Skills10+ years’ experience in high-voltage electrical engineering.Experience in the design, operation or maintenance of HV electrical assets within sectors such as energy infrastructure, utilities or industrial facilities.Strong technical knowledge of HV equipment including switchgear, transformers, variable speed drives and protection systems.Experience supporting engineering design reviews and technical assurance activities.  Desired / Nice to HaveExperience working with large motor systems or compressor installations.Experience in asset management of high-voltage infrastructureExperience performing root cause analysis of HV equipment failuresExperience supporting technical procurement processes and vendor selectionExperience working on major infrastructure or energy projects. Characteristics We look for candidates who ·       Work well as part of a team.·       Have excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills.·       Can complete tasks independently, capable of self-learning.·       Can prioritise and coordinate work.·       Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.·       Can multitask and work well under pressure.·       Are a strategic business thinker. What’s on Offer·       Competitive hourly rate based on experience·       Paid overtime available, depending on project demands·       Flexible working hours may be accommodated in line with project requirements·       Opportunity to work on a high-profile national critical infrastructure projects site with a collaborative, technically strong team NeoDyne Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be treated in strictest confidence.
