We offer flexibility, career progression, and a competitive start rate.The Nurse Healthcare Coordinator position is available in a residential care home in Tullamore, Co Offaly,Monday to Friday, flexibility is required for Sundays and Night shifts occasionally.Full-time positionThe Healthcare Coordinator will be responsible for the scheduling, organizing, and managing of all aspects of all sisters’ care. The person taking up this role must exhibit good communication skills. Needs to have leadership qualities that will be needed to guide sisters of varying backgrounds towards a common goal for the betterment of the sister’s health and quality of life. Will also encourage all sisters to be as independent as possible with the assistance of the medical staff, if required, for as long as they are able.The Coordinator will need to ensure that all sisters understand the steps they need to take to receive appropriate medical care. May need to advocate for all sisters and communicate with other healthcare providers to accurately update documents and schedule appointments. Job DescriptionDeveloping and coordinating health care programs.Developing goals for the sisters under their care and monitoring progress.Maintaining confidentiality and quality care while providing a listening ear when needed.Liaise with the community leader, deputy, and other heads of departments, including Neylons Management.Maintain good communication between staff, sisters and family.Organize weekly rosters for nursing and health care assistants while ensuring appropriate skills mix in conjunction with Neylons management.Organize staff holiday allocation and adjust duty times when required.Adjust duty times when necessary to give comprehensive care to a very ill sister. Assist in interviews for Staff employment and in-service training.Allocate, supervise and lead the team of health care assistants.Check and update the sister's medical files and ensure an efficient filing system for all records.Computerize all Sister's medical data.Ensure that all medical cards are on a date and reapply for same before expiry.Ensure that all other relevant paperwork is in place (e.g. end of, life wishes)Supervise the arrangement of the hospital, dental, optical, and auditory clinic appointments and follow up where necessary.Provide a continuum of care throughout the house. Attend weekly meetings with community leaders regarding the care of the sistersTerms of reference for on-duty nursing staff also apply.Requirements:Register Nurse by An Bord AltranaisA can-do attitudeExperience in a similar roleGood working knowledge of EnglishKnowledge and willingness to apply safe working practicesKnowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.Garda vetting is required.We are happy to hear from anyone with specialist skills in any of these areas.Please Fill in your details and upload your CV to apply.
