Quality is central to all our operational functions and is innate within the organisation. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Job Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Quality Compliance Advisor to manage and advise the organisation on all aspects of health, safety, and quality compliance, ensuring statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations are adhered too. *This specific project is a fixed term contract comprising of 25 hours a week for a period of six to twelve months depending on the needs & requirements of the service._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Duties & Responsibilities:Health & Safety:Oversee and ensure the organisation's compliance with Health & Safety legislation, regulations, and standards.Ensure workplace practices and procedures align with safety legislation and maintain high standards.Conduct Emergency Health & Safety (EH&S) related workplace inspections.Lead the development, implementation, and review of EH&S related policies, procedures, and programs.Maintain detailed recordkeeping and provide EH&S required data to senior management.Chair Safety Committee meetings with safety representatives.Provide strategic advice for the development of the Health and Safety function in response to service needs.Risk Management:Identify potential hazards and undertake risk assessments.Ensure recommendations are implemented and prioritized according to risk rating matrix.Put controls in place to reduce risk ratings to as low as reasonably practicable.Maintain an up-to-date risk register reflecting identified risks.Review incident reports and follow-up as necessary.Quality Compliance:Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation, HIQA Standards, HSE, HSA, and European guidelines.Compile data to analyze compliance trends and plan corrective actions.Conduct audits and inspections to ensure operations comply with regulations.Interface closely with IPC Lead, Quality & Compliance Manager, ACEO, and CEO.Advise and chair the Quality Review Group committee.Stay updated on relevant legislation and communicate changes.Execute other duties as assigned by senior management.Training & Development:Liaise with HR for identified training needs related to Health & Safety compliance.Carry out ergonomic assessments to ensure compliance with best practice. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Qualifications and Skills:Degree/Diploma in Health & Safety or equivalent experience3-5 years experience in a Health & Safety role, with compliance exposure/involvement an advantageExperience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare or related industry advantageous.Hold a full clean driving licenceEligible to work in Ireland______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Required Skills & Attributes:Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Have the skills and ability to develop workplace locations that are safer, healthier and more sustainable Deep appreciation of health & safety and quality compliance.Substantial experience of a highly regulated environment, HIQA regulated, HSE operated/funded an advantage.Experience of disability sector an advantage.Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high initiative and integrity.Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite._____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Remuneration & Hours:Remuneration (WTE €40K's).
