Health & Safety Manager (Glanville Environmental)Exeter- Hybrid Permanent, full-time Competitive salary + Company car plus Company benefits  We are on the lookout for our next Health & Safety Manager working in our Health & Safety department at our depot in Exeter, Glanville Environmental an Adler & Allan Company we are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, and highly motivated person who can work alongside an already established team, where there will be opportunities for the right candidate to gain additional skills and training to progress their career within the construction industry.More about the role:Assist the Head of SHEA with the continual development of the company’s integrated ISO Health, Safety, and Environmental management systemEmbed Glanville Environmental’ s’ ‘All Safe’ accident prevention safety culture across the businessAssist the company with identifying training and competence needs from inspection and incident findings Create and update SHEA documents and templates using the company’s software toolsManager the SHEA Advisor(s) and SHEA AdministratorDevelop and deliver SHEA training presentation material for the company and external stakeholdersCarry out monthly analytical reviews of company SHEA data results and prepare monthly SHEA performance reportsPrepare formal SHEA meeting agendas based on performance data, chair SHEA meetings, and issue minuted reports as requiredSupport the development of Construction Phase Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH assessments as requiredAssist the company with supplier and subcontractor vetting as well as subcontractor monitoringCarry out site SHEA inspections and auditsManage and lead accident and incident investigationsCarry out for-cause and random D&A testing as requiredProvide robust SHEA advice to managers, supervisors, and workersWork with HR to review occupational health medical records as requiredAssist with Environmental compliance across the companySupport the SHEA team with the compilation of the company’s carbon emission data annually About you:Must have obtained a NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent)Good working knowledge of statutory legislationProficient use of Microsoft Word / Forms / PowerPoint, and ExcelAbility to work independently and to tight deadlinesGood organisational and time-management skillsStrong leadership skills to support a positive H&S cultureGood interpersonal skillsPrevious experience within Construction or Civil Engineering is an advantage What we can offer you:Additional holiday for length of serviceHoliday buy schemePension schemeHealth cash plansPrivate medical insuranceBravo benefits perks @ workGym and fitness discountsEmployee referral schemeCycle to work schemeSelf-development trainingCompany social eventsOccupational Maternity & Paternity PayOccupational Long Term Sick PayOccupational Sick Pay  About us:Glanville Environmental is a reputable and thriving drainage and civil engineering company that has been a driving force in the Southwest region for over three decades.
