About the role: As a Health and Safety Advisor supporting the TSG UK Charge Division, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of safety within our organisations operations. Your responsibilities will encompass the development, implementation, and maintenance of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) programs tailored to the unique challenges and risks associated with the installation of the EV (Electric Vehicle) Charging Network for our clients. What you’ll do: EV Safety Implementation: Support the development and implementation of HSE protocols, ensuring H&S measures effectively control risks associated with the Charge Division's business while using your knowledge and experience to provide key insights for continuous improvement.Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessment reviews, identifying and advising on potential hazards specific to CDM (Construction Design & Management) and EV Chargers, recommending effective mitigation strategies.Policy Development and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to UK health and safety regulations, including CDM and Electricity at Work, and implement TSG Group and TSG UK Solutions policies and procedures.Training and Awareness: Promote a positive safety culture across the Charge business operations and assist in developing and delivering training programs for TSG employees and contractors.Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with UK health and safety regulations related to our operations. Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and facilitate inspections or audits.Audit & Inspections: Undertake site audits and inspections and support TSG UK SHEQ team with internal audits of the Company’s IMS and external audits for accreditations.Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead any investigations into incidents or accidents related to business activities. Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents, outlining root causes and preventive measures. The following skills & competencies are essential and will be the foundation for your success in this role:NEBOSH Construction Certificate or National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent experience.Previous experience in a Health and Safety Advisor role in a construction or utility background.Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to convey safety information effectively.Analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and address hazards and risks.IT skills and proficiency in using Microsoft tools.If you are passionate about making a positive impact to safety in the EV industry and possess the skills and expertise to drive success, we invite you to join our team.
