All our roles are advertised internally, and we encourage internal progression right across the business. About the role:As the Head of SMB Market at Flogas, reporting to the Commercial Director, your focus will be to help transform our electricity, natural gas, and energy services business in the Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMB) market. This is a key senior role, combining strategic planning and tactical programme and campaign execution to deliver ambitious growth targets across energy supply, and an expanding range of innovative renewable energy solutions. You will be responsible for all aspects of market development, including directly leading the expansion of our sales channels, while providing direction and fostering collaboration with related teams within the organization, including pricing, marketing Energy Services and customer operations. We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious with a track record of success in a competitive market.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of our market development strategy in ROI and NI markets, for electricity, gas, and renewable energy services. Utilize market research and data-driven insights to build effective customer segmentation models, optimize sales strategies, identify market trends, and make informed decisions.Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for our sales channels across Ireland, to achieve revenue and growth targets.Lead, mentor, and inspire your team fostering a culture of high performance and customer-centricity.Work closely with the pricing marketing and proposition development teams to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and lead generation efforts.Work within the Commercial B2B leadership team to ensure the broader objectives of the business are achieved in all markets. Understand the competitive landscape in B2B energy supply and services, the product and service offerings available by Flogas and competitors and identify opportunities to expand our value proposition in the SMB markets.Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key SMB customers, understanding their energy needs and providing tailored solutions and personalised support.Collaborate with the energy services team and other commercial sales channels to identify opportunities for bundling services and creating value-added offerings for SME customers.Take ownership of the customer experience for SMB customers in all geographic markets to meet and exceed expectations.Ensure familiarity and compliance with industry regulations and company policies, while also providing regular reports on sales performance to senior management. Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate should possess a third level qualification in Business, Sales, or a related field, coupled with 7+ years of demonstrated expertise in sales leadership. Ideally, they should have adeptly managed field sales, inside sales, and digital sales teams concurrently, preferably within the energy or a related sector.This individual must excel in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building, embodying a strategic mindset conducive to driving business growth. Furthermore, they should exhibit a strong commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
