This role will be based in Edenderry, Co Offaly Overall Role Objective The overall role of the Graduate Civil Engineer is to assist the Senior Civil Engineer on projects from tender through to commissioning stages, in the design and build of civil works for the development and maintenance of our electrical installations. The GraduateCivil Engineer will assist in providing groundwork services and support to the Construction Team on all Civil Engineering Functions. Responsibilities Support Senior Civil Engineer in the delivery of professional Civil Engineering Services to Business Units to meet their specified requirements, ensuring that assigned projects are delivered on time, within budget, in accordance with specifications and meeting regulatory and Health & Safety standards.Assist in the preparation of Civil Engineering Designs for site specific requirements. Assists in the management of project budgets and schedules. Prepare preliminary health & safety plans, tender and contract documentation including specifications, bills of quantities and drawings. Assist in preparing reports including monthly progress reports, minutes, cost reports, specified engineering works, construction quality assurance reports, validation reports, drainage and flooding reports.Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by Management, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications / Skills Civil Engineering Degree / Diploma.Previous construction experience would be an advantage but not essentialMotivated with a can-do attitude.Meticulous in attention to professional standards.High attention to detail.Work well under pressure and time constraints, in order to meet strict deadlines.Ability to work in a team-based environment.Setting out experience with total station and GPS desired.Excellent organisational and co-ordination skills.Excellent communication skills.
