In addition, the postholder will hold responsibility for the technical and financial performance of any project on which they are deployed.The role will be home based with travel to sites (the role is UK wide so this will include overnight stays) and other offices required, and with close supervision / mentoring by a Principal Consultant. Growth and Development: Join an ambitious team that values your growth. Experience a fun, can-do culture where your contributions matter. Benefits Package- Competitive salary, enhanced maternity & paternity leave and pay, private pension, internal referral scheme & learning and development funded courses.   Your Responsibilities: Leading and supervising project management of Land Quality projects, relating to Transactions, Development and ComplianceLiaison with all stakeholders including clients, contractors and regulatory bodiesUndertaking site investigations to determine the extent and severity of impact and assessing Geoenvironmental risksPlanning of site investigations, monitoring, remedial and validation worksLogging of soils during investigations to a high standard and in accordance with best practicePreparing health, safety and environmental documentation including risk assessments and method statements along with reporting of H&S near misses and positive observationsScheduling and interpretation of field and laboratory dataProduction of interpretive environmental reports including conceptual site models (CSM) and preliminary (PRA) and generic quantitative risk assessments (GQRA)Undertaking and supporting the design, implementation and verification of environmental remediation worksUndertaking environmental risk surveys of operational establishments to determine environmental risks and compliance issues.Providing Environmental Permitting advice and completing permit compliance investigation and testing.Demonstrating a commitment to ensuring consistently high levels of safety, technical robustness, commercial awareness, organisation and customer satisfactionUndertaking quality assurance and safety performance auditsParticipating in business development activities as a technical advisor and managing key clientsWriting high standard reports which are technically sound and commercially focused.Any other task assigned by supervision for which the post holder is qualified and experienced to undertake. This will include the support of wider business operations (such as environmental claims or incident response projects) where a particular skill set is required or to maintain utilisation during any quieter periods. Qualifications and Skills:A degree in a relevant earth sciences, or geo-environmental discipline and, ideally, be a member of a relevant professional organisationAn MSc in a relevant subject (beneficial but not essential)2-3 years’ work experience in managing land quality projects, carrying out geo-environmental / contaminated land surveys and site investigations, with knowledge of available drilling techniquesPossess knowledge of remediation technologies for contaminated soil and groundwaterHave knowledge and experience of assessment of geotechnical risks and foundation design for new developments.Have an understanding of how hazardous liquid storage facilities operate, including primary, secondary and tertiary containment measures; and understand how to assess operational environmental risks.A working knowledge of Land Contamination Risk Management (LCRM) and BS10175, investigation of potentially contaminated landBe proficient in logging soil and rock in accordance with BS5930 and have strong skills in the development and updating of CSMsPossess the ability to work together in a team and also demonstrate the drive and self-motivation to work independently, with minimal supervisionAbility to take ownership of and manage projects to meet deadlines and project budgetsPossess experience / sound knowledge of current and emerging environmental legislation, guidance and best practice applicable to contaminated land consultancyPossess knowledge and experience of groundwater, surface water, vapour and ground gas monitoring and sampling methodologiesPossess practical experience of the chemical analyses which can be performed on soil, water and air samplesPossess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate via clear and prompt written and verbal communications to colleagues, clients, contractors, regulators and other consultantsBe competent and diligent in the production of technical reports to a high standard, that are commercially focused and to meet challenging deadlinesDemonstrate a good degree of flexibility and possess strong organisational and time management skillsBe computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.  Why Choose Adler and Allan: By becoming a part of the Adler and Allan Group, you’ll embark on a rewarding journey where we truly value your ideas and contributions.
