We are a food business that specialises in the supply and development of award-winning British and Irish beef and lamb products for retail, foodservice and wholesale.Role Definition Reporting to backshift production supervisor this role is based in a chilled room production line area, process and packaging goods to a quality standard, to deadlines, whilst complying at all times with company operating requirements and good manufacturing practices. Paying special regard toquality, cost control, yield and utilizationhealth, safety and ethicstraceabilityproduct safety, authenticity and integritylabellingcompany, personal and food hygiene rules and legislation Key Responsibilitiesproduce required products meeting company and customer standards to planned volume and scheduleensure necessary replenishment requirementsensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processesfollow traceability process and ensure product and labelling integrity at all timesdrive necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct machine operationkeep and maintain appropriate records as requiredcarry out production checks when requiredensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standard's of operation and safe operating proceduresensure consistent and timely attendanceprovide flexibility to meet company operating requirementsprovide pro and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managersto ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the food safety and brand integrity requirements defined by our customers requirements and BRC standardsPerson Specificationspeaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language (essential health and safety, traceability and quality control requirement)basic numeracy skillsattentive to detail quickly, cleanly and efficiently processing food items in production line teamworking in a chilled environmentflexible, adaptable and keen to learnlearning and implementing new information quickly strong team collaboratoraccreditation food hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2
