DescriptionAt The Daffodil, we have always believed in doing things differently.We like the idea that guests can enjoy our luxurious four-star hotel, yet feel completely relaxed and right at home.City-chic contemporary style from the world’s top hotels has inspired us to offer a unique experience here in Grasmere, one of the Lake District’s smallest villages.We hope you’d like to join us…The RoleWe require a General Assistant to primarily work as an F&B Assistant and to support other departments, specifically Housekeeping during peak season, in line with the changing demands of our busy hotel.This is a permanent contract and provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to gain valuable experience in different areas of a luxury hospitality environment.Shift patterns are flexible; 12pm or 3pm to finish (~11pm), 8am to 4pm. Occasional split shifts may be required 8 to 12pm / 6pm to finish.We provide transport between Kendal - Bowness - Windermere - Ambleside - Grasmere.The Day-to-DayHave a full operational knowledge of all food items, dishes, wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages served in the hotel. Liaise with the kitchen for menu content, special customer requests, queries, complaints/compliments.Ensure that all guests that you serve receive exceptional customer service.Ensure that the Restaurant is cleaned and re-set according after each service along with attention to detail.Meet, greet and seat guests and take orders.
