Food and Beverage Assistants

Midleton Park Hotel, part of the Talbot Collection, are currently recruiting for experienced Food and Beverage Assistants. The Food and Beverage Assistant provides a friendly and efficient service within the food and beverage areas, dispenses orders accurately and with courtesy to the standards required by the company and ensures the cleanliness, correct mis-en-place and set up of the waiting areas prior to service. The Food and Beverage Assistant also ensures the guests are warmly greeted, orders are taken efficiently and served to a high standard to ensure guest satisfaction. Role Specific Duties: Responsible for the efficient dispensing and serving of drinks and food when requiredTo be aware of menu items of the day and drink servicesTo serve alcohol responsiblyTo ensure that the bar/restaurant/ banquets areas are always kept cleanTo always deliver exceptional friendly service, to every guest, in line with the Talbot Collection ‘Empower Your Excellence’ customer service programTo adhere to all Fire, Safety and Hygiene regulations and to comply with the Health and Safety at work act 2005 as detailed in your staff handbookTo familiarise and adhere to Company Policies and procedures as outlined in your staff handbookTo familiarise yourself and to carry out duties laid out in the departmental SOPsTo ensure that necessary steps are taken to safeguard Company money, goods and assetsTo deal with customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner and to notify Management of theseTo ensure that the waiting areas are fully prepared for serviceTo ensure that all food and drinks are served efficiently with minimum delayTo liaise closely with the kitchenTo ensure all orders are taken accuratelyTo anticipate any guest needs at all timesAssist in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guestsMeet and greet guests on arrivalEnsure that guests are seated and provided with menus promptly Ensure that all guests’ requests and queries are responded to promptly and effectively and an exceptional service is always delivered to guestsBe familiar with the Bar menu and as much information about the food and beverage offering available to answer any questions guests may have Take food and beverage orders and ensure that orders are communicated to the kitchen and bar promptly and accurately Ensure an efficient and safe delivery of all food and beverage orders in line with guest expectations ensuring an exceptional level of service is always maintained Ensure that all food and beverage orders are imputed in the tills and are being charged correctlyTo ensure there are no open cheques at the end of the shiftSet up, clear and promptly service tables after use to ensure that guests can be seated in a timely mannerClean and sanitize tables and countertops after each guest Some of the benefits of joining the team at Midleton Park:-         Free parking-         Complimentary Leisure Club Membership-         Staff Meals-         Contributory company pension scheme.
