The role will be broad reaching in nature and will involve monthly preparation of the financial statements, tax preparation and business reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis and planning across all operations. This is the ideal role for a newly qualified accountant that enjoys the fundamentals of financial reporting and would like to take on a role that can have a real commercial impact on company decisionsPerson SpecificationQualified Accountant, ACCA/ACA or CIMA accredited1-2 years PQE in a commercial and growing environmentSomeone that enjoys both the accounting and the analysis/business partnering side of finance.A team player and who is ambitious for both themselves and for their team/businessDetail orientated with strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong MS Excel experiencePrincipal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts and reconciliations.Preparation of the relevant statutory and tax reporting activity across Ireland and UK.Variance analysis on relevant areas, in particular margin fluctuations across different customers and regions.Preparation and review of timely and accurate reports of financial performance for key business units including development of the framework for reporting KPIs.Support the annual budget process for all functional areas.Support the external audit process.Forecasting, analysis and planning activity to support business.Support the continuous development and improvement of financial reporting systems.Ongoing process improvement and project management of various projects as they arise.Work Schedule39 hour working week - Monday to Friday (Hybrid role)Benefits of Working with WGNSTAR Free on-site car parking Reward & Recognition Programme Employee Assistance Programme Learning and development Opportunities for career progression  This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
