Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic decision-making. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive firm with opportunities for development. Key ResponsibilitiesLead financial reporting, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysisOversee cashflow, working capital, and financial KPIs, ensuring accuracy across WIP, billing, and revenueMaintain strong balance sheet controls and support audits and statutory reportingEnsure full compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and client money regulationsOversee client and office account processes, including reconciliations, billing, and disbursementsAct as escalation point for client money risks and support regulatory submissionsLead and develop Cashiering and Credit Control teamsDeliver bonus and productivity reporting and support wider finance projectsSkills & ExperienceACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 5+ years’ PQELegal finance experience (SRA knowledge desirable)Team management experienceStrong Excel and accounting systems (Xero preferred)Analytical, detail-driven, and commercially awareExcellent communication and organisation skillsAbility to prioritise and perform under pressureHigh integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityBenefitsAt Rayden Solicitors, we believe our employees are integral to our success.
