Financial AccountantThis job description sets out the scope of the role of the Financial Accountant with the main duties of the position at the date when it was completed. The post holder may also be required to carry out any other duties to co-operate with the general work of the organisation, as required by their line or department manager.Overview / Purpose of the RoleThis role within the finance team will be involved in ensuring the overall integrity of financial processes and financial information. With significant emphasis on providing timely, relevant, and accurate information to local management and via group reporting. This is a great opportunity as it will afford the individual the chance to work within the wholesale and retail pharmaceutical sector. Key Responsibilities· Ownership of elements of the monthly management accounts, quarterly reporting, inter-company accounting· Active role in submission of monthly group reporting requirements via Cognos and SAP BW· Participation in the preparation of the annual budget & re-forecasting· Preparation of monthly variance analysis and review against forecasted and budgeted targets· Regular attendance at inter-departmental meetings· Liaising with auditors and other professional advisors· Proactively identifying areas for process improvements· Active participation in ad-hoc projects Key Experience / Skills / EducationQualifications· Qualified accountant · A relevant third level business qualification or equivalent· Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong financial and analytical skills· SAP Experience would be desirablePersonal Skills· Ability to work in cross-functional team environments, as well as independently· Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively· Self-motivated and looking to progress in their professional career· High level of accuracy and attention to detail· Ability to interact with all levels within the organisation· Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills About PHX Ireland (& PHOENIX Group)PHX Ireland Group is Ireland’s leading fully integrated healthcare provider.
