Field Sales Executive - Pet Food

The Opportunity We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Field Sales Executive to join our Sales team on a permanent basis. This is a remote role, however, will be extensive travel around the South.The CompanyIPN is an innovative, well-established, and award-winning pet food manufacturer, now employing over 450 people across our 3 UK sites. Our family of brands include Harringtons, Wagg, Barking Heads & Meowing Heads, AATU and a selection of partner brands that trust us to produce food on their behalf. Our kitchens in Thirsk and Kinmel produce dry, wet, and baked foods which are enjoyed by dogs and cats all over the world.The Role of Field Sales Executive:To represent IPN within the Independent Pet trade and deliver profitable sales across our portfolio of brands. Key to this is regular visits to customers within the executive’s portfolio.Key Accountabilities of Field Sales Executive:Ensure their portfolio of customers deliver sustainable growth inline with agreed budgetsDevelop close relationships with their portfolio of independent shops, small chains and regional wholesalers ensuring IPN brands become indispensable to customersDevelop tailored training and promotional plans and JBP’s with customers in conjunction with the FSM and promotional guidelinesEnsure retailers use the most suitable supply route to get IPN brands into store (direct, via wholesale etc)Collaborate and work in partnership with the broader commercial team and IPN business to help deliver the agreed sales strategyValidation and checking of sets of data to ensure business information is aligned (e.g., Sales Forecast)Own and deliver a schedule of reporting to capture all business requirements.Skills, Experience & Qualifications of Field Sales Executive:Knowledge of the independent pet trade and the appropriate route to market - PetAbility to travel and visit customers as and when needed mainly southern basedFull UK driving licenseAbility to build long term relationships with customers based on trust and respectOffer:Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire (Hybrid / Flex Working/ Remote)Salary: Competitive plus car allowance - £5000 per annum10% annual company bonus schemeHours: 40 hours per week - Monday to FridayPension: Employee contributions 3% / Employer contribution 8%·(salary sacrifice company pension scheme)Holidays: 25 days + Bank HolidaysMedicash PlanEnhanced maternity/paternity/pawternityOther Benefits: Free parking, tasty treats, free electric car charging, bring your dog to work, discounted products & free hot drinksChoice of a series of non-contractual flexible benefits, including cycle to work, workplace nurseries and dental insurance.
