We support customers across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering tailored engineering services that drive long-term success. NeoDyne is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering automation expertise across the Cork based site. This role has a strong focus on equipment validation, compliance, and documentation, with exposure to advanced automation technologies including robotics and vision systems.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the revalidation of automated production lines in compliance with regulatory and internal standards Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ / OQ / PQ) for manufacturing equipment Ensure accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation for all validation activities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver validation activities within agreed timelines Troubleshoot and resolve validation and equipment-related issues efficientlySupport the introduction, transfer, and validation of new equipment, including site-to-site transfers Participate in equipment design reviews, FATs, and vendor selection processes Work with Value Streams to identify and implement equipment and automation improvements (e.g. robotics, vision systems) Partner with Product Development to define equipment requirements for new product introduction (NPI) Engage with vendors on equipment specifications, proposals, and capital approvalsProvide technical support to debug and resolve production issues on automated systems Champion the adoption of new technologies to improve operational efficiency Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Quality Systems and regulatory requirements Support the development of team technical capability and troubleshooting skills Provide technical leadership on equipment reliability, maintenance, and validation strategy Plan and execute validation activities in line with E&AS requirementsRequired Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline Proven experience in equipment validation within medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing Strong working knowledge of automated production systems Experience with vision systems (e.g. Cognex, Keyence) Experience with robotics (e.g. Epson, Universal Robots) Strong technical documentation and report writing skills Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams Desired / Nice to HaveExperience in software validationKnowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systemsUnderstanding of regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA, GMP) Characteristics We look for candidates who ·      Work well as part of a team.·      Have excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills.·      Can complete tasks independently, capable of self-learning.·      Can prioritise and coordinate work.·      Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.·      Can multitask and work well under pressure.·      Are a strategic business thinker. What’s on Offer·       Competitive hourly rate based on experience·       Paid overtime available, depending on project demands·       Flexible working hours may be accommodated in line with project requirements·       Opportunity to work on a high-profile medical device site with a collaborative, technically strong team·       Chance to be part of NeoDyne’s network of engineering professionals, contributing to impactful automation solutions in the life sciences sector NeoDyne Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be treated in strictest confidence.
