Engineering Manager

Are you our new Engineering Manager at C&D Foods (Denmark)?We are looking for an people-focused Engineering Manager to lead our Engineering function and support the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable operations across our site in Esbjerg.As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading the Engineering team and ensuring the effective delivery of maintenance and engineering activities across the site. Working closely with Production, Quality, and Group Engineering, you will help drive equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and operational performance.About the positionYour key areas of responsibility:Engineering Leadership & Team DevelopmentMaintenance & Asset PerformanceHealth, Safety & ComplianceContinuous Improvement & Project DeliveryBudget & Performance ManagementExamples of tasks could include:Lead, coach, and develop the Engineering team to ensure high performance and engagement.Ensure safe working practices and compliance with HSE, GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.Manage planned and reactive maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance programmes, to maximise equipment reliability and availabilityDrive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and the implementation of sustainable corrective actionsMonitor engineering KPIs and identify opportunities to improve operational performance.Manage engineering budgets, contractors, and resources while collaborating closely with Production, Quality, and Group Engineering to support site objectivesCandidate profileRelevant qualification within Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering disciplineProfessional proficiency in Danish and English, both written and verbalProven experience managing planned and reactive maintenance activities within a manufacturing environmentStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and engage teamsGood understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance processes, and asset reliabilityExperience monitoring performance, driving continuous improvement, and implementing sustainable solutionsExperience managing contractors, projects, and engineering resourcesStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisationWe offerYou will become part of the C&D Foods family, an international company with a multicultural environment, across nationalities and cross-functional teams, where collaboration, diversity, and inclusion are part of everyday life.
