We support customers across Europe, North America, and Asia, delivering tailored engineering services that drive long-term success. Position SummaryNeoDyne is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to support one of our key client sites on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work closely with the NeoDyne team and play a critical role in delivering electrical expertise across a Cork BioPharma site.This role involves full ownership and operational responsibility for the electrical distribution systems at a leading biopharma manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will act as the site SME across all critical electrical infrastructure, including Fire Alarm Systems, Gas Detection, UPS, and Medium Voltage (MV) systems. Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the site’s entire electrical distribution infrastructure, ensuring full compliance with national and EU regulatory standards.Act as subject matter expert for:Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systemsFire Alarm and Gas Detection SystemsUPS and Generator Backup SystemsEmbedded renewables and grid interface protection requirements Lead and coordinate day-to-day electrical maintenance, fault resolution, and critical issue response.Manage vendor relationships: oversee contractor performance, lead investigations, ensure problems are fully resolved, documented, and closed out.Conduct and present technical investigations with GMP-compliant documentation and risk assessments.Support and review electrical design as part of site capital projects and infrastructure upgrades.Lead planning and execution of electrical shutdowns, with clear risk assessments, stakeholder impact evaluations, and detailed execution planning.Initiate and manage power quality and harmonic studies to identify issues and ensure equipment is operating efficiently and within tolerances Maintain and control GMP documentation, including SOPs, deviations, system drawings, and technical reports.Collaborate closely with Maintenance, EHS, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to ensure aligned execution and minimal disruption.Contribute to site sustainability goals and support ISO-50001 certification initiatives where applicable. Experience & SkillsRequiredWe are seeking a confident, experienced, and hands-on Electrical Engineer who can work independently, lead key systems, and represent engineering in cross-functional settings.5+ years’ experience in electrical engineering within a regulated manufacturing or industrial environment.Degree in Electrical, Energy or Sustainable Engineering (or a closely related field).Strong technical knowledge of MV distribution, critical backup systems, generators etc Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, supervise contractors, and lead issue resolution independently.Excellent documentation and investigation skills, aligned with GMP and compliance standards.Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders, operations teams, and external partners.DesiredExperience supporting or implementing ISO-50001 certification.Familiarity with electrical system impacts from renewables integration. CharacteristicsWe look for candidates whoWork well as part of a team.Have excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills.Can complete tasks independently, capable of self-learning.Can prioritise and coordinate work.Have excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.Can multitask and work well under pressure.Are a strategic business thinker. What’s on OfferCompetitive hourly rate based on experiencePaid overtime available, depending on project demandsFlexible working hours may be accommodated in line with project requirementsOpportunity to work on a high-profile biopharma site with a collaborative, technically strong teamChance to be part of NeoDyne’s network of engineering professionals, contributing to impactful automation solutions in the life sciences sector NeoDyne Ltd is an equal opportunity employer, and all applications will be treated in strictest confidence.
