About the Role:EPS Group has an immediate vacancy for an Electrical Engineer to join our Contracts team assigned to projects in North Leinster.As part of our growing team, you will be responsible for the electrical engineering activities on Wastewater Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Plants.No two days will be the same, so your activities will vary and will be agreed with the Contracts Manager on an ongoing basis. You will support the design team through the process up to and including the onsite installation and commissioning phase.A highly varied, challenging role providing invaluable exposure to the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and related infrastructureRead and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams to support troubleshooting and system integrationComplete electrical design review to identify design gaps and deviations or contradictions in specificationsValidate cable sizing and make recommendations as appropriateCompile and issue technical submittalsEnsure compliance with electrical codes (NSAI Irish Standard I.S. 10101:2020 IEC, WIMES), safety regulations, and environmental standardsManage electrical aspects of projects and liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring a robust procurement processReview the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance of all equipment and cablingLiaise with the design team & supply chain to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawingsManage specialist vendors during the commissioning process to ensure timely completion of their worksDevelop Site Instruction Packs, handover packs and test packs as requiredAttending quality meetings and participate in QA/QC walk downs when requiredReview and answer technical queries from site in relation to specifications/drawings/materials and equipmentIssue requisitions and ensure all materials delivered are as per specifications and submittalsWork with multi-disciplinary teams, including automation, mechanical, civil, and process engineersKey Competencies and Skills:2 - 5 years minimum experience in a related industryTechnical knowledge and experience of 3 phase industrial installations, specifically including 3 phase motors , starters, control panels, PLC’s and associated instrumentationProficiency in reading and creating electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagramsExperience with AutoCAD and Trimble for electrical design and layoutStrong technical knowledge of Safe Electric certificationStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a teamAbility to lead and take responsibility for project completionQualifications:Third level Electrical EngineeringSimilar relevant third level qualification and experience will be consideredFull EU/ Irish driving licenceCompensation Package:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career growthCPD accredited employerA collaborative and supportive work environmentLaptop or desktop and work mobile phone providedFlexible working options, dependent on location and role requirementsSee company website for more information on the benefits of working in EPS GroupWe welcome speculative applications from individuals of all levels.If you are interested in working with us but are not sure if the role above is for you, please feel free to get in touch for an informal discussion about what we do and what you could bring to the team.
