Electrical Chargehand - Dun Laoghaire

Suir Engineering are currently looking to hire a Electrical Chargehand to work on a Pharmaceutical Project based in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin.Here in Suir Engineering we are a leading international provider of innovative Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Solutions. We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden. What you will be doing?Lead a team ensuring required tasks are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.Assume a leadership role on site and maintain standards of safety and comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements.Design an essential daily plan of action/works. Assist in designing a two-week look ahead for your team.Confirm all material needed for works is available to all operatives.Complete and submit daily allocation sheets.Complete and submit weekly progress reports.Work to the Project Programme and monitor and record productivity/efficiency (SE).Work with field Engineers to perform functional tests.Identify all additional works.Identify and highlight areas for improvement.Liaise with the Client Representative and always represent the company standards/ethos.Monitor team timekeeping and attendance.Advise the Foreman of any team disciplinary issues.Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company. Is this the job for me?Suitable Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience.Must hold a valid Trade Certificate.Safe Pass.Strong safety focus.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Proven capability in decision making.Flexible, committed and work well under pressure.PC Skills – MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. In return from Suir:21 days annual leaveEmployee Wellbeing and Employee Assistance ProgrammeSEO Rates, Lodge plus CWPS Pension, Life Assurance contributionsEducational Assistance and CPDOpportunities for international assignments to work on one of our European projects in Sweden, Denmark, or Germany. Our way of working is called the Suir Way, designed to help us continually improve.
