Job DescriptionInk & Paint 2d hand-drawn animation in TVPaint following colour model sheetsAs needed process hand drawn animation through texturising, smearing, offsetting and other processesProvide extra material such as mattes for use by the Compositing DepartmentAssist in the building and maintaining of character palette filesWork closely with DIP Supervisor to complete assignments and meet your weekly quota and deadlines as assigned by the Production CrewAbility to closely follow the brief provided by DIP  SupervisorAbility to take direction and respond well to notes from DIP  SupervisorEnsuring consistency and continuity per established artworkCompletion of creative and technical revisions as requested by the DIP Supervisor in addition to the quotaAdhering to the work flow structure of the project as requested by the TD / Asst. TD (s) and DIP Supervisor, including a clean and orderly delivery of assets Open to share with the team processes and assets that could help with continuity and productivityTo work cohesively within a team environment ensuring high levels of communication at all timesTo work with relevant Production Coordinator/s to ensure the status of your work is known, allowing them to track the progression of assetsTo deliver technically clearly named and well layered files following established protocolsTo attend departmental kick-off meetings and reviews as neededWork according to the expected scheduleAddress any problems and communicate progress of work to the Supervisor and CoordinatorMaintain effective communication with all crew membersPromote a good work ethic and positive atmosphere within the teamAssist in keeping information relation to the projects confidential and secureAttend and contribute to relevant meetings and trainings as neededBe available on Google Chat and by emails during working hoursThis list is not exhaustive and might be complemented by reasonable and related tasks that are requested of youRequirementsHighly motivated and enthusiastic artist with strong attention to detailPrevious Digital Ink & Paint experience preferred but not essential Excellent organisational and communication skillsEnsure quality and style consistency with projectAbility to meet deadlines as established by production managementAbility to multitask and prioritiseStrong team player, capable of motivating and leading teams with enthusiasmAn ability to work collaboratively & efficiently in a fast paced quality driven teamKnowledge of asset tracking and database software (such as Shotgrid) is a distinct advantageOther Information:Cartoon Saloon is an equal opportunities employer.
