Despatch Operative

Role Definition:As a Despatch Operative you will be working within the production room order picking product for despatch to customers. You will also be required to adhere to and uphold all health and safety guidelines and work in accordance with food hygiene regulations and Company policies and procedures. This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand in the preparation of a fresh product.You will ensure the integrity of our products, customers and brands is always maintained, as suitable to the role and defined in relevant procedures. Staff are responsible for product safety, legality, integrity, and quality.Key responsibilitiesRegularly check product produced, scan it and allocate itLoad and unload trailers with productsEnsure that all pallets once scanned are stacked correctly and safely and are securely pallet wrapped for loading.Liaise with the despatch office regarding any shortages and the delivery and unloading of trays on a daily basis.Communicate and liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholdersFollow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulationsPersonal Specification:A hardworking and dedicate approach to work.Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfactionManufacturing /warehousing background essentialGood interpersonal skills and ability to multi-taskGood manual handling practices and experienceGood practical and communication skillsFLT license is preferable but not essential.PPT licence preferable but not essentialBasic Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.
