Deputy General Manager Motor Dealership

Toyota Naas has seen substantial growth and we now have a very exciting new opportunity for a Deputy General Manager to join this dynamic, vibrant and progressive team. This senior management role in our dealership will have responsibility for the day to day operation of the site reporting to the General Manager and will work directly with the department managers to ensure profitability and high team morale.The incumbent will act with a high level of integrity, honesty, and respect in all matters. The Deputy General Manager will assist in overseeing all departments in the dealership. Should a department manager be absent, the Deputy General Manager will fill this void and manage that department in their absence. Candidates must have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong leadership and motivational skills, and strong computer skills. We work to the Toyota Principles- that of #1. Kaizen- constantly improving. We take the voice of the customer very seriously, and are always looking to improve our services.It is integral to our business that we have feedback from our customers and you would be in constant contact with the different departments and managers to provide essential information towards improving Processes, Procedures and most importantly, our Customer Service. We want to know how well we are doing and where we could do better. Responsibilities:Actively trains and motivates all department managers to ensure a profitable, compliant, and effective dealership.Monitors daily operations and recommend and implement improvements when necessary in consultation with the Site Manager.Develops and maintains a good working relationship with lending institutions and our supply chain.Directs and monitors all dealership management and supervisory personnel functions, including completing performance evaluations and regularly scheduled meetings.Ensures all records and documentation are maintained accurately.Follows company policies and procedures and ensures compliance from management and staff.Resolves customer complaints.Performs other duties as assigned.Be comfortable to work in all departments of the dealership including service, sales and parts. Our ideal candidate will embody the following skills and attributes:5 years’ experience in dealership management roleMotor industry experience essentialManagement experience in a fast paced motor dealership environmentExcellent people management and communications skillsExperienced in the areas of talent acquisition, retention & staff developmentCustomer service focusedProven ability to manage and perform in pressurised situationsCommercial and financial acumenInnovative and forward looking in the context of site developmentStrong leadership & organisational skillsStructured and goal-oriented work approachAttention to detail: Sets and expects highest standards in all aspects of the site presentation and operation and leads by exampleResponsible for maintaining a positive, respectful and stable work environmentFamiliar with relevant Health & Safety and HACCP regulationsTrustworthy and discreetVery strong focus on KPI’sMust understand and be competent at using CRM systemCan do attitudeJoin our award-winning team at Toyota Naas, where excellence is not just a goal but a tradition.
