Working alongside the Director of Training (DoT), you will ensure that INSO’s learning programmes remain impactful, relevant, and responsive to the realities of humanitarian operations.You will lead the coordination of INSO’s global training team, strengthen the capacity of country Training Managers, and spearhead the development of new methodologies, digital learning tools, and quality standards.This role offers the opportunity to shape how humanitarian organisations prepare for and operate in high-risk environments—combining strategic vision, technical leadership, and hands-on engagement across more than 20 country programmes. Key Responsibilities Training Strategy & Standards Contribute to the design, review, and implementation of INSO’s global training strategy.Ensure compliance with Training Service Delivery Standards (SDS) at global and field levels.Support training needs assessments, annual planning, and the development of country training strategies. Training Development & Innovation Lead the design of innovative training projects, including digital and mobile learning initiatives.Oversee course design, curriculum updates, and methodological development.Co-lead the monitoring and evaluation of training programs to ensure effectiveness and quality improvement.Facilitate technical exchanges and thematic working groups to encourage cross-learning and innovation across the training team. Coordination & Representation Represent INSO’s training activities with partners and other stakeholders, and co-lead strategic partnerships for training development.Contribute to coherence between training, MEAL, research and development, and other organisational services.Collaborate with HR, Operations, Communications, IT, and other HQ departments to support training-related initiatives.Deliver internal and external briefings on INSO training activities. Management & Technical Support Provide technical oversight, mentoring, and support to Training Managers.Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and performance review processes for training staff.Act as Director of Training in their absence.Support global coordination of training resources and priorities. Key RequirementsEssential Fluency in English and French. Spanish or Arabic appreciated.At least 5 years of experience in learning design, curriculum development, and adult education.Proven experience in Training of Trainers (ToT) design and facilitation.Demonstrated experience in humanitarian operations and understanding of NGO access and security challenges.Field experience in insecure or complex humanitarian contexts.Strong programme and team management skills.Commitment to INSO’s mandate and humanitarian principles.Willingness to travel frequently, including to insecure field locations.
