We have cultivated an inclusive team atmosphere which allows us to deliver our exceptional customer service and the key to this success is our Team Members.About the role:You will:Responsible for making sure the deli is run smoothly, working closely with the Store Manager, to ensure full availability of stock, appropriate staff cover is in place, the deli is clean and well presented, and quality checks are regularly carried outResponsible for correct and careful storage of all stock, especially fresh and fragile productsResponsible for merchandising the products beautifully behind the counters and in the fridges to generate maximum sales and minimum wastageResponsible for assisting the Store Manager with stock and order to include counting stock, placing orders according to ordering schedule, working closely with the Store Manager, and recording wastage accuratelyResponsible for assisting Store Manager to meet daily and weekly department targetsResponsible for handing over deli section to the Store Manager/Shift Manager completely at the end of each shiftResponsible for ensuring that POS is in up to date, in place, complete and correctResponsible for delivering training to team members on deli processes, displays and product knowledgeResponsible for supporting the Store Manager to ensure Health and Safety compliance with current legislation and with Company policy (especially Food Safety)Ensure delivery of outstanding customer service, leading by exampleAbout you:You will:Be a hard worker with a positive disposition and great attitudeBe keen to learn and keen to grow in the roleHave a genuine love for food and quality foodJust love making a customer’s day and will stop at nothing to make your customer happyResilient and highly organisedBayley and Sage BenefitsWe offer:Competitive salarySociable hours40% staff discount in-storeFree or discounted foodPension PlanLength of service recognitionOpportunities to grow and developJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £11.75-£12.25 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shift/afternoonWeekend availabilitycustomer service: 1 year (preferred)United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In personJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
