Data Centre Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Security Officer to join our team in a Data Centre. This client has sites in Clondalkin, Blanchardstown and Clonshaugh. There would be a requirement of flexibility to cover shifts in each site. The shifts are day shift, 7am to 7pm and the contract is an average of 42 hours per week.As a Corporate Security Officer you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our employees, assets, and reputation. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure work environment by implementing and enforcing effective security protocols, procedures, and practices. We are looking for a proactive individual who possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, excellent judgment, and a strong sense of integrity.Duties:Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including offices, facilities, and grounds, to ensure a safe and secure environment.Monitor and control access to the premises, verifying credentials and identification of employees, visitors, and contractors.Detect and respond to security breaches, emergencies, and incidents, including alarms, disturbances, and unauthorised access attempts.Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies, emergency services, and internal stakeholders to effectively manage security-related issues.Investigate and report security incidents, accidents, and policy violations, maintaining accurate records and documentation.Implement and maintain security measures, such as CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm systems, ensuring their proper functioning and adherence to industry standards.Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.Provide security awareness training to employees, promoting a culture of security consciousness and adherence to policies and procedures.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to corporate security, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications and Skills:Basic Guarding Skills FETAC Level 4 CertificateHolder of Valid Private Security Authority Static LicenceProven experience working in corporate security or a similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of security principles, practices, and procedures.Proficiency in operating security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.Strong observational and analytical skills, with the ability to identify potential security risks and respond effectively.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organisation.Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, making quick decisions while prioritising the safety and security of personnel and assets.Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to corporate security.Physical fitness and ability to perform routine patrols and respond swiftly to security incidents.Strong ethical conduct and integrity, maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.Driver's Licence & own transportBenefits:Comprehensive Wellness SchemeMaternity top-up paymentExcellent Working Environment as accredited by Excellence Through People & Great Places to Work 2018Training and career progression opportunitiesBike to WorkReal Opportunities of Advancement
