Shift Craft Electrical Technician

C&D Foods has 9 production facilities across 7 Countries (Ireland, the UK, France, Denmark, Austria, Spain, and The Netherlands) and 2 sales offices located in Manchester and Italy.C&D Foods’ Headquarters is in Mullingar, county Westmeath.At C&D Foods Edgeworthstown we have a requirement for a Craft Technician (Electrical) working on Shift (12Hhr Continental Shift Pattern) within our Engineering Department.Shift Pattern The shifts are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. The shift cycle would be as follows:Week 1 – In Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday, and Thursday and In Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Week 2- Off Monday and Tuesday, In Wednesday and Thursday and Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all Production Machinery and Plant Services i.e. PLC (Siemens/Allen Bradley), Electrical Cabinets, Electrical Containment, Sensors, Knowledge of testing equipment, De-bugging and systems development, Programming, Steam, Air, Water etc.Personal Competencies:Resilience – Never give up, solution driven.Effective – makes things happen.Customer focused – understand the customer and is always seeking to improve quality and services for internal/external stakeholders.Great team mate – works with colleagues to do what is best for the company. Wants to develop and help others.The ability to work under time pressure and with on own initiative.Safety, Documentation and GMP awareness / compliance.Safety and Quality focused.Experience of troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment.Interest / initiative in improving processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.PC Literacy, basic navigation and file management skills.Desire to develop professionally, improve skills and progress.Willingness to learn and develop skillsQualifications:Candidates should be qualified to Senior Trades level, or comparable European NFQ qualifications, and / or NCEA Cert. Diploma in an Electro-Mechanical discipline.
