Job Title                     CNS Acute Cardiac AssessmentHours                        37.5 hours per week  ROLE PURPOSEBlackrock Clinic is an acute independent hospital. The Cardiology service is comprised of both out-patient and in-patient services. We have three cardiac catheterisation labs and a dedicated cardiology unit , looking after patients who have had acute cardiac events, undergone interventional cardiology procedures and are diagnosed with heart failure.QUALIFICATIONSRegistered in the general division of NMBI.Evidence of personal professional development.Experience in acute cardiology setting.Higher Diploma Cardiology Nursing.Management Experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES·      Independently msnsge a group of patients whilst working as part of the multidisciplinary team, delivering individualised and prsonalised patient care. The post holder will work primarily in our acute cardiac assessment clinic. They will work in partnership with the consultant cardiologists, ED unit, William Stokes Ward Unit and the angiography unit. The post holder will provide skilled nursing assessment and care to patients referred to the Blackrock Clinic. The nurse specialist will develop and promote working relationships with other acute care facilities and general practitioner liaison facilkitator to promote the service to GP’s. The post holder will be a resource throughout the hospital in the care of cardiology patients.·      Demonstration of Innovation and leadership are essential for this role.·      In additional to clinical responsibility and full knowledge of the Domains of Competence as set down by NMBI, the post holder has a responsibility in direct and indirect care, patient advocacy, audit and research and management.
