Blackrock Clinic is a progressive and pioneering hospital in which care for the patient is central to everything we do. To be able to do this role you must have:BSc. in Radiography or equivalent + 6 years experience or Postgraduate Diploma in MRI minimum experience of 3 yearsCORU Registration (or be in the process of registration) Role ResponsibilitiesManage and lead the MRI department on a day to day basis, performing diagnostic examinations as requiredEnsuring optimal patient workflow for the MRI DepartmentSupervise and train less experienced and new staff membersPerform and lead clinical audits in order to identify areas for improvementTake responsibility for Quality Assurance within the DepartmentPrepare patients for MRI procedures in an empathetic mannerEnsure MRI safety protocols and procedures are adhered to at all timesMaintain a high standard of patient care across the departmentPerform MRI perfusion and morphology studies. Adjust imaging parameters to acquire high quality images while taking the patients’ needs and clinical indication for the scan into accountObtain intravenous access and administer contrast agents/drugs required for CMR procedures.
